2. Pro Flow Urethane Backing

Phase two of the installation process is all about the K9 Turf itself and its revolutionary Pro Flow Technology which is what makes K9 Turf 100% pet friendly.

Our specially designed Pro Flow Urethane Backing has been manufactured in the USA using the most advanced technology in the  artificial grass industry. It is made up of four individual layers which contribute to the pet friendliness of the product. The first layer is made using a Pro Flow non-perforated Polyurethane backing which speeds up the flow of moisture, unlike latex backing which holds moisture such as pet urine which results in an unpleasant smell. The second layer is a 5-pick layer, which again leaves space for moisture to run freely through without building up a strong smell of ammonia. This is followed by two layers of Heavy Gauge Woven material which makes the grass extremely heavy duty and able to withstand high usage from pets and people using the lawn, making it last for many years.

K9 Turf has a polyurethane backing which is the best choice of materials when laying a lawn that dogs are going to use as a toilet. This is because polyurethane does not soak up and hold onto dog urine whereas a latex backed product would. Latex is prone to shrinking over time so if your garden needs a join in it, polyurethane backing would also be a preferred product for this.
